Chinese New Year 2024 is the Year of the Dragon

U.S. Postal Service issues the fifth of 12 stamps
in the newest  Lunar New Year: Year of the Dragon series.

The Lucky Money Collection features distinctive artwork that
celebrates Chinese symbolism and numerology.
Featured throughout the collection are the numbers
“8888,”  “168,” and “777,”
representing fortune, wealth, and prosperity.

 The Chinese zodiac is a traditional classification scheme
based on the lunar calendar that
assigns an animal and its reputed attributes to each year
in a repeating twelve-year cycle.
